At King Living our recliners are designed for reliability and ease of repair.

If you're experiencing motion issues with your King Living recliner that uses an IR sensor, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

  1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the recliner is plugged into a working power outlet and that there are no loose connections. Test the outlet with another device to confirm it is functioning properly.

  2. Clean the IR sensor: Dust or dirt on the IR sensor may interfere with the signal from the remote. Gently clean the IR sensor on the recliner and remote control using a soft, lint-free cloth.

  3. Ensure clear line-of-sight: Make sure there are no obstructions and the recliner's IR sensor is free from obstacles such as toys or other objects. There needs to be a clear line-of-sight, in order for the sensor to function properly.

  4. Reset the recliner: Unplug the recliner from the power outlet, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This may help reset the recliner's internal components and resolve the issue.

  5. Contact King Living customer support: If the issue persists after following above steps, reach out to our King Living customer support team for further assistance on 1300 135 464. We can provide additional troubleshooting steps over the phone or arrange for a service technician to inspect and resolve in your home. Remember to provide them with the necessary information, such as the name of the recliner, purchase date, and a description of the issue you're experiencing.
